UMKC’s School of Computing and Engineering is home to the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise and Research Center. This 57,800 square-foot building provides leading-edge, high-tech research and development capabilities. A hub for students, faculty and the Kansas City community, the Plaster Center brings people together from across the university, city, and region to discuss, design, build and innovate. Features include $3 million worth of fabrication and prototyping equipment, industrial and research-grade additive manufacturing equipment (3D printing), high performance computing and data analytics equipment and software, augmented, virtual and mixed reality equipment and software, FAA approved Flight Simulator, ISO 6 and 7 clean room facilities, and much more!
